An article I read beginning to end is "Why Apple can’t make white iPhone 4"

It's about how they have been holding back the release of the iPhone 4 because the white casing on the back effects pictures when the flash is being use.

" The device takes poor-quality photos when the camera’s flash is used, and the white materials make the proximity sensor less reliable, he said. "
" These design obstacles affect the latest version of the iPhone. Meanwhile, the iPad 2 has a camera on the back, but its backside is made of aluminum, not of the white casing used on the front, and doesn’t have a flash. "


I think that they should have keeped the same design that way they would have just avoided the whole complication abou trying to fix the problem.
